LET‘S EXPLORE EARMOLD CAD/CAM SOFTWARE

Digital Workflow

First step
SCANNING

Each earmold design starts with a scan, be it a scan coming from an in-ear scanner or from an ear impression scanner. The scans are stored in the designated directory for convenient processing.

Second step
DESIGNING

The modeling technician takes the scan as point of departure for the design and selects the product template of interest, e.g. a RIC earmold, a skeleton earmold, hearing protection, in-ear monitor, etc.
Immediately, Secret Ear Designer calculates a result. Depending on the maturity of the template, the result will look like being more or less finished. In up to 95% of the cases as regards simple products, e.g. earplugs, only confirmation is needed to bring the design to conclusion.

Third step
PRODUCING FINAL PRODUCT

Secret Ear Designer produces a 3D model that can go straight to the 3D printer. After the printing process, the usual postprocessing and mounting steps remain to be done.
